Bob Jahelka, CPA, CFF, PFS

A thirty-plus year veteran in the field of accounting, Bob began his career at the Big 8 accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co (presently Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited) in New York City. In 1987, he formed his own firm Jahelka & Co which merged with Demasco & Sena in 1993 to become Demasco, Sena & Jahelka (DSJ). Along with his CPA, Bob has been granted credentials in both Financial Forensics (CFF) and as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He focuses his accounting and tax expertise on providing not-for-profit groups with needed guidance. He handles tax consultation for individuals and corporations in a variety of industries including the medical and real estate professions. Bob also handles forensic accounting and bankruptcies.

A graduate of LIU Post, Bob received the LIU Post Distinguished Alumni Award in 2005. He was also inducted into the LIU Post Football Hall of Fame and the college’s Athletic Department Hall of Fame. He is president of the LIU Post Alumni Association, while also volunteering on many committees and boards of different voluntary organizations.

Career Highlight: He was retained by the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) on two occasions to provide expert testimony, forensic accounting, in several Wall Street cases.
Loves: Spending time with family and enjoys tennis, skiing, mountain climbing(climbed Mt. Washington 10+ times) and dogsledding (camped at the base of Alaska’s Mt. McKinley in January).
Co-founder of FLG Lacrosse: FLG provides training, camps, tournaments and highly competitive lacrosse on a local and national level, Bob’s son and daughter are both avid, talented players.
