When should I receive all of my tax documentation?

The IRS requires all tax documents such as W-2s, 1098s, and 1099s to be postmarked by January 31st of the new year. Depending on the delivery method, documents may be delayed. We highly recommend that our clients opt-in for electronic delivery of documents if possible.

How do I send my tax documentation to my Accountant?

The most efficient and secure way to submit all your necessary information is to use our DSJ Client Portal.

  • To set up a new portal click [here]
  • To login or reset your password for an existing portal click here

Documents can be mailed or dropped off at our office.

  • If you choose to mail documents we highly recommend using a delivery method with tracking and making copies of any documents that are not easily accessible.

Who should I contact with questions about my return and when will I receive my completed tax returns?

Can my Accountant speak on my behalf if the IRS contacts me?

Yes. By signing the engagement letter, you provide us permission to speak with the IRS. This is not a Power of Attorney. It simply gives us permission to speak with the IRS on your behalf should there be a question regarding a tax return we prepared for you.
