15 Year Old Becomes Youngest to Ever Pass CPA Exam

Jimmy Chilimigras is a 15-year-old boy who lives in Mississippi just a short mile from the Gulf of Mexico. From afar, Jimmy may look like your average teenage kid from the South who enjoys his family and the outdoors. However, Jimmy Chilmigras is far from average.

Overview

Something that Jimmy enjoys a little more than the outdoors is learning. He showed this when he graduated high school at the age of 12. Around a year after his high school graduation, Chilimigras was able to obtain his bachelor’s degree. By the time he was 14, Jimmy already had his master’s degree and was preparing to attend law school. However, there was another goal in his sight as well.

CPA License Before Driver’s License

At the age of 15, Jimmy decided it was time he took the CPA exam, and after only six months of preparation, he passed with flying colors. Chilimigras is now believed to be the youngest person to ever pass the CPA exam. While taking the exam, Jimmy was also attending school online, where he received his master’s degree in accounting. Work experience was also picked up by Chilimigras at this time. With his degrees under his belt, his work experience, and his new CPA license, Chilimigras is an extremely qualified accountant who is not yet able to take his driving test due to age. “My reaction? I was full of relief. It felt very good to have completed it,” Jimmy said. “The CPA Exam is really challenging.”

Hard Work & Determination

Bryan Kesler, CPA has helped roughly 2,000 people prepare for and pass the CPA exam, and he was very impressed with Chilimigras. “At first, I was a bit skeptical, but then when I realized Jimmy was a real person, I went headfirst into helping any way that I could What I like about Jimmy, is he’s so motivated and he’s so focused. A lot of high schoolers that I know, they’re neither of those things, so it’s really refreshing to not only see a great American success story but just see a young man who’s really focused and humble. I think Jimmy is going to go on and do great things for sure.”

Wrap Up

This a refreshing story and is also a reminder that you don’t always have to take the traditional route. Regardless of what goals you want to accomplish, working hard and being determined will certainly assist you in accomplishing anything.
