DSJ Advisory Welcomes New Tax Partner, Robert Bertucelli!

DSJ Advisory Group LLC (DSJ) is thrilled to announce that Robert E. Bertucelli has joined the firm as a Tax Partner.

Robert E. Bertucelli (Bob) is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with licenses in both NY as well as NC. He also holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Along with his experience, Bob will also merge in his book of clients that he has cultivated throughout his professional career.

“We could not be more pleased to welcome Bob to the DSJ family,” said Bob C. Jahelka, Managing Partner. “Bob’s tenured track record as a Partner at larger firms as well as an educator is a tremendous asset to both our clients and our staff as DSJ gears up for the beginning of what we anticipate to be exponential growth in 2023.”

Bob was a Professor of Accounting and Taxation at C.W. Post for 38 years teaching Accounting and Tax courses at the Undergraduate level and Taxation courses at the Graduate level. He was the Director of the C.W. Post Tax Institute, a professional organization for CPAs, PAs and Attorneys interested in furthering their knowledge of taxation. When he retired from the University at the end of 2012, the school named him as Professor Emeritus. In 2001, the New York State Society of CPAs named him as the “Outstanding CPA in Education”.

Simultaneously with his teaching career, Bob founded his own CPA firm which grew through several iterations until, in 2009, he merged it into Satty, Levine & Ciacco, CPAs, P.C., a medium-size CPA firm on Long Island, NY. He was the Senior Partner in charge of their Tax Practice until his retirement in 2015. Prior to Satty, Bob was a Senior Manager at one of the Big Four International CPA firms.

Upon retirement, Bob and his wife moved from Long Island to Wallace, NC where he is still active in community affairs, serving as treasurer of the Wallace-Rose Hill Friends of the Arts as well as president of the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity.
