Stephen Jahelka, CFA
Chief Operating Officer
Stephen Jahelka serves as Chief Operating Officer at DSJ, where he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategy for the firm. He ensures that the organization, including accounting, advisory, marketing and wealth management functions, have the necessary connectivity, coordination, and operating processes in place to serve DSJ’s diverse range of clients.
Prior to joining DSJ in 2019, Mr. Jahelka worked in KPMG’s dispute advisory group, where he worked closely with public companies to navigate intricate financial transactions. He was also a research assistant for the North Korea Sanctions project at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Outside the office, Mr. Jahelka is an active member of the community, serving on boards for a variety of youth athletic initiatives including The Thomas M. Flatley Fund, Friends of Garden City Football, Friends of Garden City Lacrosse, as well as Harbor Child Care, one of the largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to full-day child care, early childhood, and school-age education on Long Island.
Mr. Jahelka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University, as well as a Chartered Financial Analysis certificate from the CFA Institute.
