After graduating with a BA in accounting from LIU Post, Steven joined the DSJ accounting team and has focused exclusively on not-for-profit businesses. Having grown up playing team sports and after four years of college lacrosse, he understands how open communication and working as a unit is essential to winning the game—and he applies those same principles to helping advance each organization’s mission success.

While serving as a member of the board of education and involved in student government, he became skilled at conflict resolution and learned to deal effectively with people.

While at the offices of nonprofits, Steven helps streamline their financial processes. He possesses a strong working knowledge of the accounting systems used by not-for-profits including Blackbaud fund accounting software, QuickBooks and NetSuite.

Sports Highlight: As a senior, Steve played on his high school’s first-year varsity lacrosse team, made it to the county championship and his team won!
BBQ Wing Man: He makes a mean, mouthwatering barbeque sauce for wings using his own recipe
